Under no exceptions will new entries be accepted on the morning of the show

Exhibits should be brought to the Village Hall between

9.00 and 10.15 a.m. on the morning of the Show.

In the following classes, where more than one specimen is requested, uniformity is what we are looking for i.e., alike in size, form and colour. Hint: see spring show

Introducing the BEST of the BEST category

If you think, you have a very good entry for any of the vegetable, fruit and flower categories listed below, then why not exhibit it here in this new class. 1 specimen is all that is needed other than berries which will require 3 specimens. Presentation will be the same as described in the rest of this schedule.

Now this is the different bit,

Entry will cost £1 per exhibit

This money will then be shared amongst 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and a contribution will go to the WHS show kitty, which could be used to get another trophy if this category proves popular. A % will only go to the WHS if there are more than 5 exhibits.

So for example if there were 5 exhibits and a £5 prize fund, it would be distributed something like this £2, £1.75, £1.25. If there were 6 entries it would be the same and £1 would go towards administration/cup up-keep etc.. If more entries, each fund would get a further 25p; e.g., £2.25, £2, £1.50, £1.25.

Exhibits entered here would be eligible for the points awarded to be included in the end of the year Yvonne Parsley Cup. Please mark entry as class 1, there will be a separate table for these entries and will be judged by our resident professional Judge, Mr Alcock. You will, of course, still be able to put a separate entry in for all the other classes as normal.
